2009 Mini-Symposia Funding

Proposal Description and Guidelines

  1. Proposals: Mini-Symposia applications will describe the proposed event in two (2) pages or less. Proposals will contain at a minimum the following information:
    • Goals of the symposium
    • Proposed Speakers (draft)
    • Target Audience
    • Budget Estimate
    • Proposed Agenda (draft outline)

  2. Review: VCC Transition Steering Committee will review and select the mini-symposia proposals to be funded on an ongoing basis throughout the calendar year.

  3. Award Criteria: Grants will be awarded on the basis of relevance to VCC programmatic initiatives.

  4. Current Award Dates: The grants will be awarded throughout the calendar year based on fund availability. Funding is limited.

  5. Submission: Submit the original and ten (10) double-sided copies of the proposal along with one electronic PDF copy. The original application should be single-sided and single-spaced with type no smaller that 10-point. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed by the Transition Steering Committee to:
