Please join the Vermont Cancer Center, at the University of Vermont (UVM) and Fletcher Allen Health Care, in collaboration with Dartmouth Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center for a free day-long research symposium featuring presentations focused on clinical and translational research at the Vermont Cancer Center, Norris Cotton Cancer Center and other cancer research institutions with particular emphasis on lung cancer/mesothelioma in the morning program and skin cancers/melanoma in the afternoon program. This conference is designed to encourage the collaborations and development of effective processes to foster clinical and translational research pipelines.

Poster Session

Participants are encouraged to present posters on any area of cancer-related research, not only those relating to the topics of this symposium. Posters may have been presented elsewhere. All are encouraged to enter and a $125 award will be given in each of two separate categories: (1) Pre-doc/Post-doc or (2) Faculty/Staff. Please submit your poster abstract no later than October 23. Space is limited. Abstracts must include title, author(s), affiliate and funding organizations, and a description of the research.

A group rate has been arranged at the Sheraton Burlington Hotel for $98 per night plus tax for the event. The group rate is available until October 28 and is subject to availability. The Sheraton Hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service between the airport and hotel. Shuttle service will also be available to conference attendees on Friday, November 6 from 8:00 ?€“ 9:00 am and 4:30 ?€“ 5:30 pm between the hotel and Dudley H. Davis Center on UVM campus.

From I-89: Take Exit 14 W into Burlington. Head west on Williston Road (US-2). Just past the Sheraton, veer right onto East Avenue and follow signs to the hospital by turning left onto Carrigan Drive. Stay straight through the next light (intersection with Beaumont Drive) and take an immediate left into a parking lot. Continue through the parking lot until you reach the Davis Center Oval directly in front of you. Parking is not available on campus. Please park in the Fletcher Allen Health Care underground parking garage off Beaumont Drive.

From Route 7 North: Follow Shelburne Road/Route 7 into Burlington. At rotary, bear right onto South Willard Street/Route 7. Travel less than one mile to the intersection with Main Street (US-2); turn right onto Main Street. Head uphill past the University Green until you reach Spear Street on your right; turn right onto Spear Street. Take an immediate left around the jughandle and continue straight through the light onto East Avenue. Follow signs to the hospital and turn left onto Carrigan Drive. Stay straight through the next light (intersection with Beaumont Drive) and take an immediate left into a parking lot. Continue through the parking lot until you reach the Davis Center Oval directly in front of you. Parking is not available on campus. Please park in the Fletcher Allen Health Care underground parking garage off Beaumont Drive.
